Grace Children’s Center is a community that values relationship, cooperation, curiosity, imagination, and respect for all living things. We cultivate habits that build emotional regulation, connection, and gratitude. Through daily interactions with teachers, peers, and our environment, we promote a whole-child, developmentally appropriate education for infants through grade school and their families.
Our Classrooms
Grace Children’s Center serves children from 6 weeks old through 5th grade, with a classroom built around each stage of growth.
6 weeks – 1½ years
Infant Room
A calm, nurturing space with consistent routines and responsive caregivers, supporting early communication, motor skills, and secure relationships.
1 – 2½ years
Toddler Room
Hands-on activities and plenty of movement, as toddlers build language, independence, and social connection with patient, consistent guidance.
2½ – 4 years
Preschool Room
Play-based learning that builds language, social skills, and confidence, with room for curiosity, problem-solving, and creativity to lead the way.
4 yrs – kindergarten
Pre-K Room
Structured, purposeful play that strengthens early literacy, math, and social-emotional skills to prepare children for a confident start to school.
Kindergarten – 5th grade
School-Age Program
Before-school and after-school care built around connection and fun, with staff walking children to and from Midway Elementary each day.

- Our partnership with Grace Lutheran Church is integral to providing care for every child and strengthening families.
Grace Children’s Center is a ministry of Grace Lutheran Church. That means we’re loving and accepting of all people, while teaching children developmentally appropriate Bible stories and songs and praying before snacks and meals. Not all of our families and staff are Christians — we all work together under a shared culture of compassion, kindness, and acceptance.

How Tuition Works
Our goal is to keep tuition as affordable as possible while investing in strong teacher training and support.
- Rates are based on Washington State’s Working Connections guidelines for childcare in King County, and are reviewed annually each September.
- An annual $50 registration fee per child renews on your enrollment anniversary and helps fund scholarships for families in need.
- A 10% sibling discount applies to families with two or more children enrolled.
- We accept a variety of childcare subsidies and work with families to help them access care through different agencies.
